Show what you know...an on-going "assignment"

Some of you have already completed our "show what you know by what you do" assignment. Some of you have not started it yet. Either way, this "assignment" does not need to end with the 20% grade in this course. This is something you can and should continue beyond this course. Remember that with knowledge comes the onus of action.
Here are two great sites that you can continue to watch for even more ideas.
The Ocean Conservancy
Bluefront
And in the meantime, you can also read the comics...

I just wanted to say I had a great day cleaning Crystal Crescent Beach today. The weather was beautiful and knowing I helped in a small way in cleaning a beach that my nephews frequent often is nice. It is also very nice to know that maybe little by little we can help! I do have to say though it is unbelievable the "gross" things that people litter!! I'm really not sure what people are thinking at times! Obviously, I guess they weren't!! All in all, I think it was great!

Back when Cathy gave out the ocean literacy posters I posted it on the door to my apt. I know it's a lot of reading, and I don't actually expect people to read it - when friends come over they ask why I have an oceans poster on my door... then I have a great opening to talk about the importance of oceans! It was so simple and will continue to be a source of environmental education for all my friends/my roomies friends :D
