The Canadian Shark Research Laboratory

On Tueday, March 27 we will have a guest presentation from the Canadian Shark Research Laboratory. You can read all about the Laboratory and what they do here.
You may also want to take a look at Canada's National Plan of Action for the Conservation and Management of Sharks, which was just released this month.

I agree...the speaker kept my interest. I'm interested in learning more about the shark derby though, does anyone have more information on that? Other than from the organizers....

I also agree, that guest speaker was quite entertaining. Didn't make sharks too complicated and brought in some interesting info. good times!

I also enjoyed the guest speaker. I couldn't believe a shark that big was caught off of Yarmouth. I had an agrument last week with one of my friends about whether there are Great White sharks off of Nova Scotia; I guess there are occurences.

Yes the guest speaker was entertaining and did hold my interest. The only downfall I found was the fact that he didn't really touch a lot on the management side of things just moreso the biology. Still interesting nonetheless.

The guest speaker was awesome and very interesting. I was shocked to hear that there are large sharks off our coast. Also the photo of the shark cut off PEI alarmed me.
