I would definitely dine at this undersea restaurant; I think it would be an amazing experience. However, because of what I’ve leant in our Ocean Management class, I’d most likely choose a species from their menu like Pacific Salmon that I know is not a threatened species at the present time. The main problem with many high-end restaurants today are they continue to serve these threatened or unsustainably fished species because these species tend to be the meal of the rich, and furthermore these species usually are the best tasting, and finally not enough of the public is educated is these issues or know these fish species are threatened or unsustainable.
I find it so ironic that the people dining here are obviously doing so because they enjoy the experience of a healthy ocean environment teeming with life yet they are directly contributing to endangered species extincion, I definatley think there needs to be more public education so there can be a greater awareness
I agree with Dan and Eric. This would be an awesome place to eat, but if the restaurant's business relies on fish remaining in the ocean, they should pick species that aren't at risk to serve on the menu, or there won't be a good view for much longer.
I would like to eat here but not if they only serve fish that are on the red list. Just one question though, how do you get in there?
That would be a sweet place to eat! But I agree with Erin's ironic comment, they should definitely be doing more to not only keep themselves in business but keep their main asset 'in business'
A unique spot. Hard to believe something like that van be built. Haha Imagine what this would look like if it were in Halifax Harbour. PUKE!
can you say sea sick???
